Why is Leicester Business Festival so important?
Leicester Business Festival 2023 is one of the most unique dates in the business calendar and is taking place from 6-17 November.
Around 900 companies took part last year. This year it is hoped things get even bigger and better. All shapes and sizes of businesses can get involved.
Alexandra Carr from PPL PRS who are music partners of the festival was interviewed by Summaya Mughal from BBC Radio Leicester on 19 July about the benefits of getting involved.
Alexandra explained:
“The Leicester Business Festival (LBF) is a unique business community that brings everyone together. The events showcase why Leicester and Leicestershire as an area is innovative and provides a supportive place for businesses to get together and connect.
“We have so much innovation and diversity in Leicester and Leicestershire and the festival offers a chance to showcase this.”
How can business get involved?
Alexandra continues: “The time is now to apply and host an event. There will be a cap of 80 events on offer during the festival. The events will be free to attend. An event could be a demonstration, round table, expert panel or a tour to showcase across all business sectors.
“Any businesses interested need to submit their event idea via the online form with the details including venue, times, objective of the event. A panel of people on behalf of the festival choose the final line-up.
“At PPL PRS, we are immensely proud of having our home here in Leicester and being a part of the music scene. We love getting involved with Leicester events and supporting businesses to use live music, radio, television in their workplaces by ensuring they have TheMusicLicence. We are not for profit - so after our operating costs, the fee for the licence goes back to the musicians themselves.
“There is a fantastic music scene in Leicester and music plays an important role in wellbeing for people professionally and personally.”
