Top business opportunities offered at the festival

Size does not matter…. at Leicester Business Festival!

Any business - small, large or from the public or private sector - who has something to share with other businesses, can get involved. The annual festival will take place between 6 November and 17 November 2023 across Leicester and Leicestershire. This will be the ninth edition. Applications to host an event are now open and the form is simple to complete online at:

The number of events is limited so it is important that businesses submit their interest as soon as possible. Events are not a sales opportunity - they should aim to offer help and support, educate, share information and knowledge, or create forums for networking, engagement, and business growth. Ideally, they will be between one to three hours long and can vary in type, structure, and size, across digital and in-person platforms, and from workshops and seminars to product demonstrations, showroom tours and round table debates.

David Nicholls, Managing Director of Better-IT Limited and Director of the LBF Community Interest Company (CiC) officially launched the festival on Thursday 6 July, said: "LBF is the largest business event in the region. During LBF you can be in the room with a variety of experts from finance, marketing, leadership and legal. That is a truly unique experience as normally as businesspeople we only get to network within our own sectors.

“My advice to businesses is to visit the website and fill out the event application form online. If you don't have all the information immediately available and can’t complete it in one go, the form can be saved and filled in later. However, as spaces are limited it is better to submit it sooner rather than later."

Last year, the most popular attended events included themes on powerful leadership, health & wellbeing, entrepreneurial opportunities, using digital technology tactics, growth strategies and being investment ready.

Over the past eight years of the LBF, there have been 866 events, 90 percent of which were rated good to excellent. More importantly than anything, 89 percent of businesses who were involved with the festival, as partners, sponsors, event hosts or attendees, fed back that their businesses were positively impacted. The festival is publicised far and wide across the region as well as championed through the media and business networks.

Leicester Business Festival operates as a Community Interest Company (CiC) and is run by businesses, for businesses. So far, the festival partners include De Montfort University, Pattersons Commercial Law, University of Leicester, Everards of Leicestershire, The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity, Leicester Hospitals Charity and TheMusicLicence, by PPL PRS Ltd (music partner).
