Only two weeks left to submit event applications for the region’s largest business event.

Applications close 31st August, businesses are urged to submit their applications before it’s too late.

The programme is starting to fill out with applications being received for events to take place right across the region, covering all eleven key sectors that best represent the local economic makeup.

Festival organiser, Associate Events, are anticipating hundreds of applications in the coming two weeks on top of all those already received. With the number of events being in the programme now limited to 125, those keen to be part of this year’s programme are urged to get their applications in.

In 2017, the Festival boasted more than 150 events right across the region and welcomed more than 10,000 people, firmly placing it as the region’s largest business event. Taking place from the 29th October until 9th November, headlined by Leicester Castle Business School, Leicester Business Festival (LBF) is a showcase of the region’s commerce, innovation and culture. Who better to demonstrate the breadth, diversity and strength of the region to the wider-world, than the businesses that front these developments and innovations every day.

A number of events are already on sale, including ‘Innovation inCharnwood’, which won ‘Best Event’ at the 2017 Festival. The event will be a demonstration that Leicester and Leicestershire are at the forefront of driving forward new technologies which have immense benefits not only for businesses, but for people’s quality of life, showcasing cutting edge technologies in innovation and how the region is achieving exceptional success on the international stage.

The Midlands Business Expo is also taking place during this year’s Festival; this is a great opportunity for businesses to engage, meet and discover the developments that are taking place across the region. Our sponsor University of Leicester are hosting an event in collaboration with University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, for businesses that are looking to develop innovative medical products and become part of the NHS’s supply chain.

Applications can be submitted through a quick form available on the Leicester Business Festival website: www.leicesterbusinessfestival.com/apply which is then vetted by the LBF Steering Group before becoming part of the programme.

Scott Knowles, chair of the Leicester Business Festival CiC, said “The festival was created to provide a platform for

Leicester and Leicestershire’s diverse sectors and its business community. It continues to ensure that we all unite and collaborate on annual basis to present a unified voice to showcase the breadth and strength of the region’s assets. This approach drives inward investment and ultimately economic growth whilst supporting all those who, live work and ‘play’ in the region. The Festival continues to grow, going from strength to strength year-on-year, and our ambition of making LBF a truly international showcase has now become a reality.

“I strongly encourage businesses to host an event during this year’s Festival and be part of the next stage of Leicester Business Festival’s development, showcasing your business to the world. Get involved and apply today”
