One month left to put forward events for business festival

Applications to run an event in the Leicester Business Festival need to be submitted by 9 September - just one month away.

Events can take any shape from a small workshop or seminar to a tradeshow or conference. Hosting an event enables businesses to reach people who they may well have not considered or had the chance to meet.

Rob Ricketts, Regional Business Development Manager from De Montfort University and headline partner, said: “At De Montfort University we believe you never stop learning and anyone who is in business knows just how true that is. The Leicester Business Festival is a great opportunity for firms to share best practice, a chance for you and your team to make new contacts and see how we can all work together to benefit the city and county.

“With just a month to go we cannot wait to see the great ideas and events which will make up the 2022 calendar, and attending as many as possible.”

Over the years, events have covered a wide range of topics including GDPR, mental health, business finance, property investment, recruitment and skills development. The key is that the event is appealing and impactful.

Pattersons Commercial Law is a festival partner for the 5th year running. The commercial law firm based in Leicester has an experienced team of corporate and commercial lawyers who provide specialist legal services to businesses and their owners throughout the UK.

Their Director, Rik Pancholi, explains: “We truly enjoy being involved with the festival and hosting events. The most important thing to remember is that in business we’re all human so actually hosting something that gets people’s attention is crucial to a successful event. One of the questions we ask ourselves is ‘would I attend this event?’

In 2021 Pattersons Commercial Law hosted a number of events including an afternoon of networking and professional advice for property owners over pool at Rileys Sports Bar in the city centre. An event they plan to run again in 2022.

Rik continues: “We provide professional guidance, assistance and expertise on buying or selling residential tenanted properties. By choosing a relaxed and fun environment for this event it really helped people to network amongst other Leicester business professionals and share invaluable knowledge for those in the property management sector.”

Businesses can choose to host in their own locations or choose from a pre-arranged venue. At previous festivals there’s been an impressive range of venues, from Winstanley House and MIRA Technology Park, to Twycross Zoo and Bosworth Hall Hotel, with countless events taking place across Leicester city centre, and the surrounding districts.

Applications must be submitted via the website www.leicesterbusinessfestival.com by Friday 9 September. For more information contact hello@leicesterbusinessfestival.com or 0116 464 5995.
