#LBF2021 Sponsor Profile - Bradgate Estates

Leicester Busuness Festival sponsor Bradgate Estates Ltd is a family owned property development company based in the Midlands that specialises in high end student and PRS accommodation.

The company has built and sold over £90 million worth of property over the last four years, consisting of private-rented sector and student blocks in Russell Group university cities Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield.

Bradagte Estates aims to reflect their family values in both their business dealings and within the wider community. That is why sponsorship of #LBF2021 was such an easy decision for the company to make, as it provided a means for Bradgate Estates to give back to the Leicester and Leicestershire business community.

Bradgate Estates is particularly interested in what this year’s Festival can offer businesses that want to do more to help retain graduate talent in the local economy. Keeping talent within Leicester and Leicestershire, and not exporting it to other cities across the UK, is a key concern of many businesses in the local area.

For this reason, several #LBF2021 events were scheduled that focus on this. Post-Pandemic Recruitment and Retention showed businesses how to market themselves as a destination of choice for graduates and those changing careers to attempt to find their ‘dream job’ - something that has increased greatly as people have reassessed their lives after the Covid-enforced lockdowns.

CLEAR Careers, in partnership with the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) and LLEP Careers Hub, as well as Harborough District Council an North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, has a focus on the logistics industry but focuses on career pathways for local young people to get into a career that is one of the pillars of the economy of Leicester and Leicestershire.

Finally, Headline #LBF2021 partner De Montfort University, along with Eileen Richards Recruitment and Festival sponsors Freeths and Brewin Dolphin, organised an event at which businesses demonstrated how they have made the strategic decision to improve their diversity to become more attractive to top graduate talent. Also featured were testimonials from students and graduates who have experienced first-hand the positive impact of the programme.

The Leicester Business Festival 2021 is still ongoing, and there is plenty of time to get involved and find the perfect event. Like Bradgate Estates have discovered, involvement in the Festival is the perfect opportunity to give back to our local business community and ensure the success of future generations of businesses and people.
