BID Leicester is the Business Improvement District for Leicester city centre. The BID is a business-led, not for profit organisation working to make the city centre a better place to live, work, visit, study and do business.

Representing 714 businesses and organisations, BID Leicester is focused on delivering a clean, safe and attractive environment, raising Leicester’s profile through high quality marketing, and creating a strong business voice within Leicester. A diverse group of businesses are involved, ranging from small independents to multinational retailers, and contributing to a £4.2m budget over a five year term.

Now in its fourth year of delivery, the BID has established a range of impactful and innovative initiatives that have gained recognition nationally, and demonstrated the creativity and dynamism of Leicester. Key projects have included the Independent Leicester campaign, Leicester Restaurant Week, and the Give Leicester initiative to support homeless people. It has also created a range of high profile events such as Light Up Leicester, Brew Beat and the Architects of Air Luminarium.

BID Leicester is currently developing a business plan for 2023-2028 and is seeking the input of the local business community to create a strong vision that delivers real value for city centre businesses. The BID’s #LBF2021 event is focused on this, as it seeks your input into its future plans to make Leicester city centre even more amazing.

The BID is also supporting Leicester Business Festival via its Refuel Hubs, where you can grab a drink and a place to get some work done between #LBF2021 events.
