Four weeks until business festival begins
The countdown is on until The Leicester Business Festival will fill venues across the city and county with some of the most topical and interesting insights from the public, private and third sector.
From 7-18 November leaders and specialists in law, public services, construction, health, education, finance, marketing, sport and more will host events for other people to book on and find out directly about business boosting tactics.
At this year's festival, health and wellbeing is also on the agenda to support businesses to put their most unique asset first - their people. Events include Workforce Health and Wellbeing (Active Together), Fundamental Wellbeing Essentials (Skillsbase First Aid), Make Mental Health your Business (LAMP) and Using data and AI to help tackle obesity in Leicester (Medilink Midlands and De Montfort University).
The Health Suite who are specialists in bespoke, integrated, patient-centred healthcare are supporting the whole festival to happen as well as putting on an event at the festival dedicated to Health and Wellbeing in the workplace.
Dr Asiya Maula from The Health Suite said: “We are supporting the festival as business can not happen without the people to support it, therefore healthy and happy people lead to a more productive business.
“The timing of the festival in November signifies that winter is on the horizon. Immune systems and moods deserve that extra care and thought. We want to be visible to let people know we have ways people can manage stress and anxiety and illness in an effective way.
“We offer a wide range of services services including private GP appointments, onsite consultant led ultrasound scans, breast clinics, a wide range of complementary therapies, nutrition and lifestyle consultations, physiotherapy, menopause support and many more. We also offer corporate healthcare plans as well as access to tests and scans. At our event we will be showcasing our services.
“The Leicester Business Festival is a unique way for us to engage directly with people and help with any health related queries or questions they might have. Looking after your staff means you are looking after your business.”
The Health Suite is hosting an event called Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace on Friday 11 November, 1pm to 5pm. This fantastic opportunity will enable people to have a taste of the therapies The Health Suite offers as well as the chance to join a variety of seminars on how to improve health within the workplace.
