Businesses line-up to be part of festival
The countdown to the Leicester Business Festival (LBF) is on.
The festival will run from 7-18 November and is a fortnight of business events and networking, held right across Leicester and Leicestershire. Each year, over 1,000 businesses take part, 100s of events are held and thousands of attendees get involved.
Running since 2015, the festival is well established locally and nationally with a marketing reach of over 16.5 million last year. Becoming a Business Festival partner could lead to even more benefits such as unparalleled exposure, access to new business leads as well as importantly, demonstrating a real commitment to the local business community.
Packages are all designed to meet the objectives of the partnering organisation so they can see a substantial return on their investment that is aligned with their strategic business objectives.
So far, the businesses partnering with the 2022 festival include headline partner De Montfort University, East Midlands Chamber, Brewin Dolphin and Pattersons Commercial Law, British Business Bank, EMBARK CSR, Everards of Leicestershire, Highcross, Mem Saab, and Voluntary Action Leicester (VAL).
Stephen Gould, Managing Director at Everards of Leicestershire which was founded in the city in 1849, and now, six generations later, has invested in their home county with the development of Everard Meadows, explained their reason for getting on board this year.
Stephen said: “As a local independent family business, we’re delighted to be involved with the Leicester Business Festival.
"We strive to nurture local talent with our own team and work with independent business owners running their own pubs.
“Everards are proud to be from Leicestershire, a reason why we have beers dedicated to local landmarks, people or folklore and we aim to promote the region’s strengths whenever possible. We have invested in our new Leicestershire home including two new breweries (a large scale and small batch one), offices and beer hall at Everards Meadows next to Fosse Park.
“We look forward to continuing our support for the region through working with other local businesses, supporting business owners and continuing our partnerships with great local attractions such as Leicester Tigers, Leicester Riders and The Curve as well as the Leicester Business Festival.”

From being a partner, supporter or venue to hosting an event businesses of all sizes and from a broad range of sectors can take part. Last year the festival was most popular with micro and smaller businesses closely followed by larger businesses.
Additionally, applications and ideas for events are open now, with some events already accepted. The events can take any format such as a workshop, debate, presentation or primarily have a social networking angle. The application form is simple to complete and online at: www.leicesterbusinessfestival.com. Applications close on 9 September 2022. The number of events is limited so it is important that businesses interested submit their interest as soon as possible.
The festival operates as a Community Interest Company and is run by business for business, and relies on the local business community to support it. Thanks to the support of partners, sponsors and supporters, the festival has gone from strength to strength.
