Event applications have now closed


Applications to host an event for Leicester Business Festival 2017 have now closed. Thank you to everyone who has submitted and contributed to the region's largest business event. Applications will now be processed and events published online.

Tickets for Leicester Business Festival are now on sale. For your chance to be part of #LBF2017 get your tickets now and support the businesses in the region. Leicester Business Festival is running from 23rd October until 3rd November 2017, with events spanning over the two weeks, and covering the whole region.

Most of the events are free, so there really is no reason for you to not get involved. This is the perfect opportunity to learn essential business skills that can help your business to grow. There will be countless networking opportunities which could result in new customers, suppliers or business partners.

Our partner LLEP Business Gateway is holding an event on Manufacturing Growth Challenges on Wednesday 1st November. This looks at how manufacturing will change in the coming years due to Industrie 4.0; resulting in higher customer engagement, faster product development and more agile manufacturing. There will be key speakers from the manufacturing industry at this event, including Stuart Garner, CEO of Norton Motorcycles (UK) Ltd, and is being held at Donnington Hall.

An exciting one in the textile industry is being held at Leicester Castle Business School called Creative Technology in Textiles. This will look at new technologies in the textile industry, such as electroplating, and how local business might use it to strengthen their business. There will also be a talk on how the industry can use algorithms to tailor production and how it can help improve competitiveness. This is being held on 2nd November, 10:30-12:30.

GDPR is coming into play in May 2018, are you ready? Find out all you need to know at ‘Navigating the Data Protection Minefield’. This is a great opportunity to pick up some essential tips on how to get your business ready for the new regulations. Join us on 24th October 2017 at 10:00-11:00.

There are more than 13 sectors being covered in this year's Business Festival, so there is something for everyone and every business.

We have seen incredible success in previous years with over 12,500 visitors for 118 events, and a reach of 12.7 million. 97% of attendees said that their business directly benefitted from their attendance at the festival. This year we want it to be bigger and better than ever before, so make sure you get your tickets to be part of the region's largest business event.
